°®ÆＧ Abroad Professional Development Grants

Up to $1000

°®ÆＧ is continually developing strategic global partnerships with select universities and higher education centers around the world.  These °®ÆＧ Abroad partners offer academic opportunities for the entire University campus.  Our °®ÆＧ Abroad partners have expressed specific interest in the exchange of faculty.  Faculty interested in spending a period of time abroad at a °®ÆＧ Abroad partner engaged in teaching, lecturing, collaborating with colleagues, developing joint research projects, or engaging in other professional development may apply for a Faculty °®ÆＧ Abroad Partner Development Grant.

°®ÆＧ Abroad Partners include:

  • University of Tartu, Tartu, Estonia
  • Centers for Interamerican Studies, Cuenca, Ecuador
  • Anqing University, Anqing, China
  • University of Malaga, Malaga, Spain

Your proposal should include:

  • A description of your interest in the global partner and the activity you would be interested in pursuing (teach, lecture, joint research, etc) including the time frame you are available;
  • A full Curriculum Vita

Grants will be evaluated based on the faculty proposal and the needs of the °®ÆＧ Abroad partner.  The Center for International Education can facilitate planning between the SU faculty applicant and the proposed host °®ÆＧ Abroad Partner.  Preference will be extended to faculty with less international experience.

The grant is meant to assist in covering international travel costs.  Different °®ÆＧ Abroad partners provide different support for visiting faculty.  Such support may include housing, office space, stipends, etc and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Please submit applications and address any questions to Brian Stiegler.
