I am originally from Arington, VA, which is where I met my husband. We now live in Annandale, VA with our two growing daughters. I am so happy to be able to stay at home with them while doing what I love, caring for children. I have a Masters Degree in Education from Virginia Tech and I was a high school teacher for 10 years for Fairfax County Public Schools. After my girls were born, I decided to stay home with them and do family day care, just like my mom did for over 20 years. It is an honor and a privilege to help care for your children and one that I do not take lightly. Your child is a special gift and I do everything I can to give him or her the best care possible.

I have been providing day care in my home since 2010 and everyday brings new adventures and lots of fun and laughter! Letters of recommendation from (just a few of) my happy parents are listed in the Testimonials section. I really enjoy keeping in touch with my previous families. Some of the "big kids" come back for our annual end-of-the-school- year party and it's always so wonderful to see how much they've grown and changed since I cared for them as babies or toddlers.

We are a State licensed program, which means that all care-takers are CPR/First Aid certified. My assistants, my husband, and myself have all passed a criminal background check and the Child Protective Services central registries check. The day care program receives periodic, unannounced visits by Social Services to ensure that it is following all proper procedures. Additionally, it is visited by the USDA, therapists, and other special programs that enhance the care that the children receive.

Nutrition: I love cooking and believe that delicious and nutritious food is worth the effort to build happy and healthy children. We serve nutritious meals with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, while keeping processed foods to a minimum. Organic milk is served for both breakfast and lunch.
